Chicken Roast Whole Bird Butterflied, it provides a quicker roast, or can even be cooked on the BBQ, generally cooked with a higher heat it crisps up quite nicely.
Our chickens are received directly from the Hazeldene's family farm, as fresh as can be butterflied and frozen. They make delicious, tender and great tasting meals for the whole family.

We start with our normal 1.4-1.5kg and 1.9-2.0 and we then remove the backbone and repack your chicken to leave you with approximately 1.4kg and 1.9kg butterflied whole chicken.

Hazeldenes Free Range is Accredited Australian Free Range. Please always look for the below logo when paying premium for happier healthier chickens. There is currently no Accredited Free Range chicken standard in New Zealand.

- Hazeldene's Chicken is Accredited Free Range - natural and farm fresh direct from Hazeldene's Farm in Victoria Australia
- The chickens are processed at Hazeldene's farm and sent straight to the plane in Melbourne for us to receive the next day, packed and made available for you the next day. We manage the entire supply chain logistics to ensure product freshness and integrity. The chicken remains chilled in refrigerated transport and never frozen.
- Upon arrival at Growsfresh we will immediately freeze down a number of product items to ensure we always have stock/ product available. Our chicken is never frozen for more than a month after received chilled.
- Hazeldene's Free Range chicken is air chilled - this is different to most other chicken farms, who chill the chicken using water chilling after processing that can use additives and may allow the chicen to absorb water during the chilling process.
- Upon arrival at Growsfresh we will immediately freeze down a number of product items tonensure we always have stock/ product available. Our chicken is never frozen for more than a month after received chilled.
- A butterflied chicken is when a whole chicken is Cut by Growsfresh along the underside so the whole chicken lays flat in the roasting/frying pan or on bbq. The chicken will cook quicker and more evenly, and can mean much more of the skin crisps up across the top of the chicken.
