French style Camembert cheese made using the finest biodynamic organic milk from Bd Farms Paris Creek. Each small wheel 200g.

 

              

 

Camembert is a soft, creamy, surface-ripened cow's milk cheese. It was first made in the late 18th century at Camembert, Normandy, in northern France.

This cheese has a best before date, depending on our storage after purchase, this date is reasonable for the cheese to be consumed. If you tend to prefer the French or European soft cheese with stronger flavour and richer 'gooey' texture you can still still allow the cheese to grow out for another 2 weeks after the best before date. If storing in the fridge please allow an hour for the cheese to reach room temperature before consumption and maximum 'gooeyness'.

This unique french style Camembert has a creamy, slightly yellow interior. When fresh, it is firm, but when maturing, it becomes smooth and rich and develops a delicate mushroom, earthy flavour. Fully matured, Camembert goes well with fruit, such as red grapes or figs and enjoys being paired with red wine paste, almonds and crusty wood oven bread. It goes very well with a light red or dry white.

Like all other products from Bd Farm Paris Creek this cheese is excellent, and being biodynamic organic it is pure natural through the entire food chain. Pure organic grass fed animals which roam the farm completey free range as nature intended.

We have spent time with Ulli on her farm and in the dairy and cheese making facility - amazingly beautiful farming country and animals. It is a great sign when you can see plenty of fish swimming in the stream that runs through the farm.

Ulli has previously been named Asia Business Woman of the Year for her work developing her dairy farm products.
