Description

Deep ruby in colour, this Shiraz displays an elegant and uplifting fragrant nose of cherries and plums with hints of vanilla, soft spice and subtle notes of smoky charcuterie. The finished wine is medium bodied and displays bright striking acidity and sour cherry with a grippy tannin structure. The palate exhibits lovely persistence of length thanks to the ripe fruit tannins layered over well integrated oak characters.

Winemaking Notes

The Shiraz fruit was harvested in the cool of the night and came into the winery in pristine condition.
Fermentation was in a combination of small open fermenters which we plunged daily. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation in the tank before being racked into oak barrels, where it matured for 12 months before final blending & bottling. It is a very engaging wine to enjoy now and will develop with further cellaring.

Krinklewood Wines produces a variety of wines all made using Biodynamic Organic principles. They are certified under Australian Certified Organic certificate number: Biodynamic 10648.
