Sunflower seeds are very high in protein, fibre and in vitamin B. Linseed is high in soluble fibre, the essential omega 3 fatty acids and is one of the richest sources of lignans. Sesame seeds have a high level of calcium, magnesium, are rich in vitamin A and protein and has a strong antioxidant effect. Poppy seeds and red lentils add to the delicious taste and colour of this bread.
Combine all of the above with the slower digestive rate of highly seeded breads that release glucose more gradually into the blood stream and all the benefits of being organic, this bread should be included in a balanced healthy diet.
