Krinklewood Winery in Australia produces fine quality wines using biodynamic organic principles - no chemicals and no sulphites added.




Pale gold straw in colour. This wine displays lifted aromas of stone fruit and citrus blossom with subtle hazelnut. Fresh white nectarine and ripe melon carry onto the palate with bright fruit intensity and modest oak structure. Delicate hints of hazelnut are delivered by 9 months maturation in puncheons and barriques.

Winemaking Notes

The fruit was picked at optimum ripeness in the cool of the night. Of the free-run juice, a portion was fermented in both new and aged French puncheons, plus a portion was fermented in stainless steel to maintain the lively fresh fruit characters. Partial whole bunch fermentation has given the wine a lovely round palate, while the oak has enhanced its structure. The wine matured for 9 months with regular stirring, before final blending and bottling. The resultant wine is a well-balanced, elegant modern Chardonnay.
